Who Amanda Southworth Thinks Needs to Create the Future We Want

Amanda Southworth at the 2019 MA Conference for Women

Amanda Southworth used to be suicidal, unsure if she wanted to live or let it all go because it was too painful. She chose life—more specifically, a life of helping others.
She created AnxietyHelper, a mobile app that offers the resources to start the healing process, and founded the software nonprofit Astra Labs, which develops a range of apps for people who feel marginalized.

But at 18, it appears, she’s just getting started. Her real mission: Engage us all in creating a better future.

“As far-fetched as it may seem right now, we can make the future that we want to see. We can be the better person. We can take responsibility.”
