Nyra Bannis

NYRA BANNIS joined Shire Pharmaceuticals in September, 2010, where she currently holds the role of senior director of patient services.  In this role Bannis is responsible for leading the genetic diseases franchise customer-facing roles within patient services.  The OnePath® team supports patients with gaining access to treatment.  Bannis has over 15 years of healthcare experience. At Shire she has held roles as associate director of US commercial operations within rare diseases, where she supported the commercial team with the launches of VPRIV and Firazyr. In that role she also worked on CRM implementations and delivered day to day analytical support to the leadership team. In her time at Shire, She has also worked within the Global Center of Excellence, as the global commercial compliance Services lead, supporting the commercial organization with the professional engagements processes and grants, charitable contributions and sponsorships. She worked on rationalizing Shire’s grants systems to determine one global platform for both medical and commercial. Prior to Shire, Bannis held a role as a program manager of a reimbursement patient services team at Healthbridge, a subsidiary of Express Scripts, Inc. Bannis earned her B.A. from Regis College and her M.B.A from Curry College. @shireplc
