LISA WIELAND is responsible for safe, reliable, and affordable energy delivery to National Grid’s customers in New England, overseeing gas and electric operations in Massachusetts and transmission in New England. Prior to joining National Grid, Wieland served as chief executive officer of the Massachusetts Port Authority. Before Massport, Wieland worked as a consultant for Bain & Company, serving clients in the health care, medical devices, and consumer products industries. She began her career in broadcast journalism. Wieland is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. While Massport’s Port Director, she was named Chairperson of the Maritime Transportation System National Advisory Committee to the U.S. Secretary of Transportation. She currently serves on Boston Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees, the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, the New England Council, and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
