Ginamarie Foglia
GINAMARIE FOGLIA DO, MPH, FACP has over twenty five years of healthcare experience as a board-certified internal medicine and infectious disease specialist, medical epidemiologist, and professor of clinical medicine. Foglia leads a Sanofi global research and development sub-team, concentrating on portfolio risk/opportunity assessment. Prior to joining Sanofi, Foglia was the clinical director of vaccine development at Sanofi Pasteur. In 2002, Foglia also served with the United States Army Medical Corps, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. From 2002–2005, she was based in Kenya, where she led the US military HIV/AIDS program, jointly sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense (DoD). Foglia was also appointed as the DoD representative for the presidential emergency plan for Kenya AIDS relief and served as an advisor to the Kenyan Ministry of Health and the US Embassy. Foglia received her Ph.D from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, her MPH from Yale University, and completed an infectious disease/public health fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
