The mission of the Friends of Mel is to provide quality cancer care for the whole patient by funding cancer research, education and support. FOM funds organizations that mirror their mission to provide quality cancer care for the whole patient by funding cancer research, education and support. FOM works with the organizations that it supports on an on-going basis raising awareness in the community of the services and programs that are available to cancer survivors and their caregivers. FOM looks for opportunities to contribute to educational conferences and workshops where cancer patients and their caregivers are given the tools they need to navigate their cancer journey. In an effort to meet the greater need, FOM hosted its first conference for cancer survivors and their caregivers last June.
