Dr. Julie Locklear

DR. JULIE LOCKLEAR is vice president for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) at EMD Serono, Inc. In this role, she directs the overall strategic planning, execution and dissemination of the health economic value evidence for EMD Serono’s multiple sclerosis, oncology, immune-oncology, infertility and endocrinology portfolio. She leads a team of experienced professionals whose responsibilities are to generate scientifically robust value evidence, disseminate these data via peer-reviewed publications and engagement with external decision makers to ultimately improve patient outcomes. Her previous experience includes global payer evidence director at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, where her responsibilities focused on the development of successful global reimbursement dossiers across multiple therapeutic areas including inflammation, respiratory, neuroscience and autoimmune disorders. She has experience launching products, business development, market access, leading cross functional internal teams, external contract research organizations and alliance management. Prior to AstraZeneca, she worked for Janssen Pharmaceutica in a variety of health economic roles including both in-house and customer facing. Dr. Locklear earned her Pharm.D. from the University of Rhode Island, and an M.S. in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University. @emdserono
