Center for Women and Enterprise (CWE) is the leading regional economic development organization in New England with proven success in training and assisting women entrepreneurs. CWE’s mission is to empower women to become economically self-sufficient and to prosper through business and entrepreneurship. In order to achieve this mission, we provide a wide range of training, technical assistance, and networking opportunities designed with the particular challenges of low-to-moderate income women in mind. Since 1995, CWE has trained over 23,021 women (and men), helped entrepreneurs create over 28,776 new jobs, generated more than $834 million in wages and certified more than 934 women-owned businesses. Each office provides a full calendar of trainings, technical assistance, one-on-one consulting, and networking opportunities designed to help low-and-moderate income women achieve financial stability through small business ownership.
