Liz Morningstar

LIZ MORNINGSTAR is the CEO of the Boston Public Market Association, the developer and operator of the Boston Public Market, which opened this July 2015. The market is an indoor, year-round, 28,000 square foot retail space located in downtown Boston in the ground floor of the Haymarket T-station building. The market is home to 38 permanent vendors selling everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, to meat, seafood, cheese, mild and prepared foods. The Boston Public Market is the only all locally sourced market of its kind in the United States. Prior to this role, Morningstar was a senior advisor to Governor Patrick and the state’s Secretary of Cabinet Affairs, advising cabinet members on policy development. Previously, she served in several Clinton Administration posts, including press aide to Vice President Al Gore. Morningstar earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S. from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. @lizmorningstar
