SOPHIA DOZIER is a data-driven professional, with a passion for social, economic, and racial equality. As Director of DE&I at Rapid7, Dozier helps drive strategy around diversity retention, engagement, leadership development, strategic partnerships and hiring. In addition to being a proponent of diversity paired with inclusion, Dozier is passionate about advocating for mental health. She believes that conversations encompassing mental health should be commonplace. Prior to Rapid7, Dozier led DE&I efforts at IBM, focused on supporting the Pan-Asian and Indigenous communities. Her background also includes international experience in English as a Second Language instruction and staff training (China), as well as legal aid and community outreach (South Africa). She holds dual BS degrees from the University of Utah, one in political science and government, and the other in international/global studies. In addition, Dozier recently earned an executive certificate in diversity and inclusion for human resources from Cornell University.
