Noreeen Nugent

Noreeen Nugent is director of US research operations for EMD Serono, Inc., in this capacity she spearheaded collaborative efforts between scientists and architects in creating the company’s state-of-the-art research facility which opened in February 2011. Nugent also leads the US Discovery Project Management Group. She joined EMD Serono in 1989 as a research scientist in the area of recombinant fertility hormones and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the research function. Nugent worked on three molecules that were brought to market. Nugent has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Emmanuel College and master’s degree from Northeastern University, concentrating on genetics and molecular biology.
