Christina Khoo
Christina Khoo is the director of global health science and regulatory affairs with Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. in the department of global marketing. She joined Ocean Spray in 2007 as a principal scientist. Khoo received her doctorate with emphasis on nutritional biochemistry and mineral metabolism at the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department, University of Florida. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard School of Public Health where she conducted human clinical trials in the area of cholesterol and triglyceride metabolism, studying the effects of low or high fat diets on the metabolism and clearance of triglycerides using kinetic modeling. Prior to joining Ocean Spray, she was a senior scientist at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc., a subsidiary of the Colgate-Palmolive Company. She is a member of the American Society of Nutritional Sciences, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, ILSI Bioactives committee, a board member of Produce for Better Health and National Berry Crops Alliance and vice chair of the AHA’s industry advisory panel. She was an adjunct faculty at Kansas State University for several years, teaching nutrition to undergraduate students.
