JOAN CHRISTEL is president of State Street Foundation and senior vice president on the global human resource & corporate citizenship team at State Street. She oversees the company’s global commitment to corporate citizenship; inclusion, diversity, and equity; employee engagement; and culture transformation. She also represents State Street on a variety of external groups including the Boston Women’s Workforce Council and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. Previously, Christel worked for a large health insurer and several consulting firms where she assisted clients undergoing transformation. Christel holds MBA and MSW degrees from Boston College and a BA from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
