Stella & Dot CEO Jessica Herrin on Building a Powerful Brand

Jessica Herrin, founder and CEO of Stella & Dot and past Massachusetts Conference for Women keynote, shared lessons learned in her career path in an online radio conversation with Samantha Ettus, hosted by the Conference. Click the link below to listen to the full 30-minute radio show.

Herrin built Stella & Dot out of a mission to “democratize entrepreneurship” and let women build their own businesses—while maintaining their flexibility—as independent stylists for the company. “I wanted to create a business for women about defining success as happiness, their pace, their way,” said Herrin.

She shared tips about pursuing venture capital (“don’t give up…don’t assume that your gender is an issue”), work-life balance and building a strong brand.

“The most wonderful thing about life is that it’s just one step at a time. Focus on what matters most.”

About Jessica: As the brains behind Stella & Dot, Jessica has proven just how one woman can go about styling her life with smarts, courage, and tenacity.
