TALINN DEMIRJIAN is a senior vice president, head of risk superstructure, emerging risks, and sovereign risk for State Street’s Enterprise Risk Management Department. The Risk Superstructure Group is responsible for oversight of the firm-wide risk appetite framework; enterprise-level stress testing, scenario analysis, and crisis management; integration of risk assessment and strategy in corporate development and strategic planning; risk-adjusted compensation processes; and top-level risk reporting and management for the board and senior management. Demirjian has oversight of a number of emerging risk practices, with a focus on building State Street’s frameworks around digital asset risk and climate risk and regulation, as well as for sovereign risk, which assesses the risk profile of new markets and monitors the economic, political, and regulatory environment in countries where State Street has a presence. Demirjian has a BA in international relations and economics from Tufts University, and an MA in international business and political economy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
