Stacie Powell
STACIE POWELL is a member of the exclusive Global Graduate Rotational Program through State Street Global Advisors (SSGA). She participates in a two year cross-functional platform developing a diverse skill-set and broad perspective into financial services. She is currently working in portfolio strategy analyzing products and solutions in the context of economic and market developments to identify and communicate market opportunities, asset allocation construction and the corresponding risks to clients. Prior to her current rotation, Powell worked in global treasury as part of the liquidity risk management team at State Street Corporation. Her first rotation was on the global product research team in SSGA, where she worked to assess commercial metrics and competitiveness of new and existing products across all markets segments and product types. Powell earned her Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Cambridge, UK in 2014. Her dissertation involved detailed time-series analyses of real data from a planet forming disk in the Orion constellation to identify evidence of young planets forming. She also earned an M.S. in physics with astronomy from the University of Southampton, UK and completed research at Harvard University. @statstreet
