St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children
transitional assistance, assistance for homeless
St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children mission and vision reflect its long-standing commitment to provide supportive services for families in the community – a community grappling with poverty, failing schools, high dropout rates, teen pregnancy, and high rates of unemployment and domestic and community violence. The organization operates six integrated and results-oriented programs designed to help women and girls attain the emotional, educational, and economic stability needed to transform their lives and ensure that their children – who might otherwise make up the next generation of poverty – have brighter futures. St. Mary’s mission is to help vulnerable women transform their lives, emotionally, educationally, and economically, ensuring a brighter future for their children. Through six integrated, results-oriented programs, St. Mary’s supports 700 women and children annually with shelter, clinical and educational services, job training, and affordable housing search.
