Megan Wherry joined EMD Serono in October of 2007 as vice president of human resources. In this role, she is responsible for managing all human resource functions including talent management and development, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and deployment, metrics and operations and employee relations. Together with her team, she is focused on HR strategy as well as the acquisition and development of talent in the organization. Before joining EMD Serono, Wherry served as director and global head of talent and culture development for the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Inc. Wherry also served as HR head for research UK and was a member of the Novartis Executive HR Leadership Team. Wherry earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in psychology and economics and her master’s degree from Cornell concentrating in human resources and organizational behavior. She is co-author of the New York Times best-selling business book, “Power Sleep.”
