Erin Champlin

Erin Champlin is the vice president of global business services (GBS) at EMC Corporation.  Since assuming this role in late 2009, she has grown the organization to more than 2000 resources (41% CAGR) WW based primarily in shared service delivery centers in the US, Ireland, Argentina, Egypt, China, the Philippines and India.  EMC’s GBS organization was recognized in 2012 for shared service excellence by SSON – winning first place honors in both the “Value Creation” and “People & Communication” award categories.  In May of 2013, EMC GBS was recognized again with a first place award for “Value Creation” in the EMEA region specifically. Champlin held several positions within EMC’s IT organization prior to moving to GBS, most recently holding the title of vice president information technology and Business Unit CIO.  While in IT, Champlin had specific responsibility to partner with EMC’s functional and senior vice presidents to execute a “best in class” portfolio management process for allocating IT resources to highest priority initiatives and driving them to completion and value realization.  Champlin brought more than 10 years of experience in IT to her position at EMC, having begun her career with Ernst & Young, where she consulted, and later managed, large-scale system implementation engagements.  She is a graduate of Bryant University.
