Beth Carlson

Beth Carlson is vice president of global talent development and learning for Raytheon Company. She brings more than 30 years of experience to this role. Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), with 2010 sales of $25 billion, is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, homeland security and other government markets throughout the world. Carlson is responsible for Raytheon’s overall integrated talent development and learning strategy to align and drive development of our internal talent. Before joining Raytheon, Carlson served as vice president of talent management and development for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance. She previously held the same role at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., where she led strategic and integrated talent management initiatives. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2004, Carlson worked in the Health Care Division of CIGNA® Corporation, holding various leadership roles of increasing responsibility within Human Resources and business operations. In addition to her strong human resources background, Carlson has extensive leadership experience in claims, underwriting, compliance and customer reporting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical psychology, both from Connecticut College.
