Alexandra Ibanez
ALEXANDRA IBANEZ is the discovery site operations director at Merck Research Labs in Cambridge, MA. While working as a researcher, she held positions of increasing responsibility through research laboratories, specializing in infectious diseases and neuroscience. Subsequently, Ibanez moved into the operational support of the research laboratories at Merck and is currently responsible for the Cambridge Research site operations. She has authored or coauthored over twenty nine scientific publications and presentations. Additionally, she is involved in the Merck Hispanos Organization (MHO), currently holding the MHO global lead position and as a member of the Merck EBRG Council. As MHO global lead, Ibanez supports MHO as a professional organization dedicated to enable its Hispano-Latino members and allies to enhance their professional development, through supporting Merck’s business insights and community outreach. She holds a Master’s degree in cell and molecular biology and an executive MBA with concentrations in general management and international business.
