2019 Attendees: Important Information for Conference Day

We’re getting ready to knock your socks off at next week’s Massachusetts Conference for Women!

To help your day go as smoothly as possible, please prepare yourself by reading the information below.

Before You Arrive

Please print & cut out your badge (your ticket into the event) before you arrive. We’ll provide a lanyard and badge holder, but printing in advance will save time on Conference Day.

*Note: Only the primary registrant has access to print or email badges. If you did not purchase your own ticket, please contact the primary registrant to have your badge sent to you.

With your badge in hand, you can skip Registration and begin enjoying the Exhibit Hall as early as 7:00 am. Or go directly to the Opening Keynote when doors open at 7:45 am. The morning keynote session begins at 8:15 am this year.

Special Meal Requests

The deadline to request vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free special meals has passed, but we will try our best to accommodate late requests while quantities last.

Here’s how to know if they are still available:

Primary registrants should log in to the registration portal and go to the section addressing individual meal requests. If you see the option to specify an alternate meal, we are still accepting requests.

Please also feel welcome to bring your own food if that better suits your dietary needs.

Getting There

On December 12th, thousands of attendees will converge on the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center at the same time. We cannot stress enough how important it is to plan ahead for traffic, parking and public transit options.

The best way to get to the Conference is to take public transit or a taxi, or to carpool.

If you drive, please carefully study the parking advice on our Travel page. You’ll find maps, prices and even an option to reserve discounted parking in advance! Remember, there will be many more attendees than available parking spaces at the Convention Center, so pay attention to the free shuttles from nearby Channel Center Garage and consider other off-site lots (shuttle service only available from Channel Center).

What to Bring

  • Your smartphone. The newly-expanded MassWomen app will help you to plan your day, navigate the convention center, interact with fellow attendees, and easily follow up with anyone you meet at the conference. Download today & create an account to get a head start!
  • An updated résumé—recruiters will be on site, as will complimentary résumé reviewers and career coaches.
  • The right shoes. You will get in a good number of steps walking around the Convention Center all day! Comfortable shoes will keep your feet happy as you move from session to session and around the Exhibit Hall.
  • New hats, gloves, and winter coats for the Cradles to Crayons winter essentials drive. (Drop donations off at booth #233.)

For Your Convenience

We’ll be providing water bottles refill stations (in the Exhibit Hall), a light continental breakfast (in the Exhibit Hall, 7:00 – 8:00 am), two coat checks (cash only, $3 per item, located in Exhibit Hall & Level 1 NW Lobby), and two dedicated Nursing Mothers’ Rooms (expect privacy, refrigeration and the possibility of a crowd during peak break times). See the abridged program (PDF) for locations and more information.
